You can call me Brotha', hay hombe!

I did it.  I got into the fraternity.  In our school all organizations have to let everyone in.  That means that the Diverse Women in Pharmacy club has to let men in.  The Christian Pharmacists Club has to let Muslims in.  The Fraternities on campus have to let women in.  BUT, that doesn't mean they recognize their gender.  So for all future meetings of Kappa Psi, my new family members, I am known as Brother Perri Ann Allen.  Nice.  I can deal.

Pledging was actually an awesome experience.  There were things abut my personality that I knew existed but had really hidden them.  During the 5 weeks of pledging I as assigned tasks that were super fun and easy and other tasks that put me on the edge of tears.  I was so exhausted and sleep deprived that whenever I saw one of my children or family members I just hugged them and told them how much I missed them.  Luckily my school work didn't suffer.  I gained 23 very close little new friends (my pledge brothers).  And I also gain about 30 other friends who were already my friends, we are just now "brothers."  Life is good.

I am looking forward to the end of this semester.  It has been incredibly difficult.  One more semester in the classroom and then my year of experiential.  Nice.  The home stretch.
